This Algarve hiking tour is a scenic coastal trail in Algarve.

On this spectacular walk, as you amble along ocher-colored cliffs jutting out of the ocean, you’ll be convinced that Southern Portugal is one of the most stunning coastal regions in the world.

The best time to hike is in Spring or Fall. The temperature is mild and the skies are generally clear. It’s also possible to hike in Algarve in winter, but there’s more chance of rain and moodier weather. And in summer the weather is probably too hot for this walk.

The walk difficulty is moderate but is not a flat trail. There are several ascending and descending passages along the route. Hiking shoes are essential! This is not a hike you want to do in sandals. Though there’s nothing technically difficult about this hike, there are a few places where the terrain is slippery.

After we walk through in one direction, we stop for a short drink at a cozy restaurant and then, hike back to the departure location.

During this hiking tour, there are many gorgeous lookout points where you’ll see limestone stacks and natural arches.
